re: School Day Program - May 19, 2017 in Sunbury, OH

Dear Teacher,

The Big Walnut Area Historical Society is preparing for its tenth annual Civil War School Day Living History Program and would like to invite your students to come and participate.

This year, the school day program will be held on May 19, 2017.  There will be two sessions of this program.  The first session will begin at 9:00 and end at 11:00 am.  The second session will begin at 12:00 pm and run until 2:00 pm.  During each session students will move through a series of living history stations.  At each station, students will learn from dedicated living historians what life was like in the mid-1800s from both a military and civilian prospective.

Because of the constraints of time and so that each class can get maximum benefit from the programs, participation is being limited.  Space will be on a first come basis.  We are also asking for a $1.00 per student donation.  If you would like to reserve a space for your students, please fill out the attached registration form and return it by March 14th, 2017 to the address listed on the form.

If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to contact me at either: rhelwig61@columbus.rr.com, or (740) 815-5493.

Thank you for your time.  I hope to see you in Sunbury on May 19, 2017.

Your most humble and obedient servant,

Richard N. Helwig

Chairman
