Maintaining a 200 year old structure is not easy or cheap. Last winter when the Trustees hired Integrity Painting to prepare and paint the exterior of the Myers Inn, we agreed to apply for a grant to assist with the cost so we could replace the money in our savings for future expansion. We applied to the Delaware County Foundation in August.

Although we were in the painter’s que, it was August before they could start and then we were visited by rain so often, the task was not finished until November and the painters were paid from our savings.

Finished!  People called to say how great the building looked.

In December 2019, we were awarded grant money from the Del-Co Water Community Fund through the Delaware County Foundation and repaid part of our B.W.A.H.S. savings account.

Thanks, Del-Co Water Community Fund and
Delaware County Foundation!
