"Amazing Aviators, Wings Against the Sun"

Donna Denney will present her video, Amazing Aviators, Wings Against the Sun, during the July 8th Big Walnut Area Historical Society monthly meeting. It is an inspiring documentary featuring WWII Naval Aviators describing their accomplishments in the Pacific Theatre during their fight against Japan. The production honors our unsung heroes whose achievements in the air were truly amazing.

Donna is daugher of Clayton Whisman, President of the Class of 1942 and her uncle had the gasoline station on the corner of Columbus and Cherry Streets.

Her video has been shown on PBS and it was suggested to Roger Roberts, our program chair, as a monthly topic who agreed. So, mark your calendar for 7:30 Tuesday, July 8th at the museum for a different look at WWII.

Like all BWAHS monthly programs, admission is free and open to the public. Myers Inn Museum is located at the intersection of Columbus and Granville Street across from Sunbury Square. It is open for tours 10-3 on Saturdays and 12-4 on Sundays.

The museum will also be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on July 4th.
